# Update Custom Card

> Update an existing custom card on a business's microsite profile.

```
update_custom_card
```

## Description

Updates an existing custom card on a business's microsite profile. Use it to change a card's title, description, or image, update its click/redirect link, or show, hide, or pin a card.

<Warning>
  This is a **write tool** — it overwrites the card's content on a live microsite. Confirm the card and the new values with the user before calling.
</Warning>

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `cardId` | integer | Yes | — | ID of the custom card to update. Resolve via [`get_custom_card_details`](/mcp/tools/business/get-custom-card-details) |

## Example Usage

```
Update card 14744 on business 169744180007807 to title "Summer Offer".
```

```
Point card 14744's link to https://book.acme.com and make it visible.
```

```
Pin card 14744 to the top of my microsite.
```

## Notes

* Returns an empty success response (HTTP 200) when the card is updated; there is no response body to inspect.
* Resolve `cardId` via [`get_custom_card_details`](/mcp/tools/business/get-custom-card-details) (match the card by title) if the user names a card rather than giving an ID.
* Resolve `businessNumber` via [`get_child_locations`](/mcp/tools/business/get-child-locations) if the user names a location instead of giving a number.
