# Delete Contact

> Delete a contact from the business account.

```
delete_contact
```

## Description

Removes a contact from the business account. If `businessIds` is specified, the contact is removed only from those locations. If omitted, the contact is deleted from all locations in the account.

<Warning>
  If `businessIds` is omitted, the contact is deleted from **all locations**. This action cannot be undone. Confirm with the user before proceeding.
</Warning>

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `businessNumber` | integer | Yes | — | Enterprise business ID (from `get_business_info → businessId`) |
| `id` | string | Yes | — | Birdeye enterprise customer ID of the contact to delete |
| `businessIds` | list\[integer] | No | — | Child location IDs to remove the contact from. If omitted, the contact is removed from **all** locations |

## Example Usage

```
Delete contact ID cust_abc123 from the account.
```

```
Remove contact cust_xyz789 from locations 78901 and 78902 only.
```

## Notes

* The `id` parameter is the Birdeye enterprise customer ID — not an external CRM ID.
* To scope the deletion to specific locations, provide `businessIds` with the relevant child location IDs from [`get_child_locations`](/mcp/tools/business/get-child-locations).
* Always confirm with the user before deleting, especially when `businessIds` is omitted (full deletion).
