# Update Google Service

> Update the price, description, duration, or group of an existing Google service.

## Description

Updates an existing service on the business's Google profile. `serviceId` and `name` are always required. All other fields are optional, but this tool performs a **full replacement** — fields not passed will be cleared. Always fetch current service data first and carry forward any values the user isn't explicitly changing.

  This is a **write tool** — changes apply across **all locations** mapped to this service. Fetch the current service data via [`get_google_services`](/mcp/tools/google-services/get-google-services) before calling to avoid accidentally clearing existing values. Confirm the update with the user.

## Parameters

### Supported `currencyCode` Values

`USD`, `GBP`, `CAD`, `AUD`, `NZD`, `EUR`, `MXN`, `INR`, `AED`, `CHF`, `CNY`, `CZK`, `EGP`, `HKD`, `HUF`, `IDR`, `ILS`, `JPY`, `KES`, `KRW`, `LKR`, `MAD`, `MOP`, `MYR`, `PHP`, `PLN`, `RON`, `RUB`, `ZAR`, `SEK`, `SGD`, `THB`, `TRY`, `TWD`, `VND`, `SAR`, `KHR`, `MNT`, `NOK`, `DKK`

## Notes

* If the user provides a service name instead of a `serviceId`, call [`get_google_services`](/mcp/tools/google-services/get-google-services) with the name as `search`, present the results, and confirm before proceeding.
* The service `name` cannot be changed on Google — always pass the existing name unchanged.
* `price` and `currencyCode` are required together — if updating price, collect both.
* `group` and `duration` are stored in Birdeye but are **not synced to Google**.
* To avoid data loss: fetch the current service first, then only change what the user specified.
