# Add Ticket Comment

> Add a comment or internal note to an existing ticket.

## Description

Adds a comment or internal note to an existing support ticket. Use this to log updates, communicate internally, or document progress on a ticket.

<Warning>
  This is a **location-level tool**. Use the same `locationId` as the ticket's location.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `locationId` | string | Yes | — | Child location ID — must match the ticket's location (from `get_child_locations`) |
| `ticketId` | integer | Yes | — | ID of the ticket to comment on (from `get_all_ticket_data`) |
| `comment` | string | Yes | — | Comment text to add to the ticket |
| `userEmail` | string | Yes | — | Email of the user posting the comment |

## Example Usage

```
Add a comment to ticket 1042 saying "Customer was contacted and issue is being reviewed."
```

Post an internal note on ticket 5567 from support@acme.com: "Escalated to billing team."
```

## Notes

* Call [`get_all_ticket_data`](/mcp/tools/ticketing/get-all-ticket-data) to find the `ticketId` if not already known.
* Call [`get_child_locations`](/mcp/tools/business/get-child-locations) to get valid `locationId` values.
